Software EngineerClient is seeking a Software Engineer to support the Home Lending Technology team within Consumer Technology (CT). The Home Lending Technology organization is responsible for developing and maintaining innovative solutions that streamline the home lending process. This team focuses on the development and support of origination and fulfillment platforms for Client Home Lending, with an emphasis on enhancing user experience, improving operational efficiency, reducing risk, and delivering a seamless and efficient home loan experience for both customers and internal partners.In this role, you will design, build, test, and support UI as well as Java-based backend services, REST APIs, and microservices used across Home Lending servicing platforms.

You will have the opportunity to work on an application with complex integration, cloud-native Microservices, including Agentic AI-based workflow. You will strengthen core development skills in Java, Spring Boot, and database technologies, apply analytical thinking to solve technical problems, and gain experience working across both legacy and modern application stacks. You will have opportunities to learn event-driven architecture concepts (Kafka/PubSub), contribute to UI enhancements using Angular or React, and participate in cloud-aligned development as applications evolve within Consumer Lending's technology ecosystem.Required Skills & Qualifications6+ years of Software Engineering experience in Java/J2ee4+ years of Springboot experience4+ years of Java unit test case development experience4+ years of JavaScript Frameworks experience such as with Angular or React JS1 year of AI-based development experience using GitHub Copilot/Claude/Devin0.5 year of Generative AI and Agentic AI experience (Google ADK, Lang Chain, MCP)0.5 year of Prompt Engineering experiencePrior work experience at client or in client's IndustryApplicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2Day-to-Day ResponsibilitiesParticipate in low to moderately complex initiatives and projects associated with the technology domain, including installation, upgrades, and deployment effortsIdentify opportunities for service quality and availability improvements within the technology domain environmentDesign, code, test, debug, and document for low to moderately complex projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deploymentsReview and analyze technical assignments or challenges that are related to low to medium risk deliverables and that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternative technology domainsPresent recommendations for resolving issues or may escalate issues as needed to meet established service level agreementsExercise some independent judgment while also developing understanding of given technology domain in reference to security and compliance requirementsProvide information to technology colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholdersDesign, code, test, debug, and document features and bug fixes using Java and Spring BootBuild and consume RESTful APIs supporting microservices and transaction workflowsLearn and apply engineering standards, secure SDLC practices, and API design best practicesApply database skills (SQL/NoSQL) to write queries, validate data flows, troubleshoot data issues, and support application logicUse AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot to accelerate coding, generate test cases, and explore solution alternativesBuild Agents using Gen AI and Agentic AI technologiesCollaborate with other engineers and cross-functional partners in Home Lending Technology to support delivery goals and solution designGain exposure to event-driven architecture concepts (Kafka, Pub Sub) and learn how messaging patterns support distributed systemsContribute to front end or UI tasks using Angular or React when opportunities arise, helping develop or update internal user interfacesParticipate in Agile ceremonies, including standups, retros, sprint planning, and code reviews, while incorporating feedback from mentorsLearn cloud-ready development concepts for Java applications deployed on internal or cloud platformsContribute to Generative AI features (LLM-enabled workflows such as summarization, extraction, and assistant experiences) under guidance
