KCC catastrophe models currently cover tropical cyclones, extratropical cyclones, severe convective storms, floods, earthquakes, winter storms, and wildfires in over 50 countries.Expected Salary Range: $85,000-$110,000ResponsibilitiesTake ownership of maintaining and improving application functionality and performanceDevelop/tune database queries to optimize application performanceCollaborate with other team members to ensure application enhancements are both backward compatible and extensibleWork on extending front-end, middle-layer, and back-end components of a Windows application using Microsoft technologiesQualificationsMS/BS degree in computer science or equivalentExperience working with large and complex databases (MS SQL Server)Excellent problem solving, analytical, and people skillsMust be flexible, a good listener, and have excellent written and verbal communication skillsQuantitative background (math/science/engineering) a plusInsurance industry experience and/or exposure to natural hazard science a plus
