Software Engineer - Battle Management / Sensor Resource Management (BM/SRM)
Location: Huntsville, AL
Work Arrangement: 100% On-site. Huntsville, AL. On-site position.
Schedule: Four 10's, Monday-Thursday; Friday-Sunday off; onsite only

Contract: Direct hire permanent role

Role Overview
Supports the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) Regional Applications / Battle Management Sensor Resource Management team through Java-based software development.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform software design, development, testing, operational integration, debugging, documentation, and user support.
- Analyze and resolve complex systems software issues.
- Develop or modify operating-system applications from specifications.
- Assist with design, coding, benchmark testing, and debugging.
- Coordinate with system support groups to resolve problems and improve efficiency.
- Design, code, test, and implement operations-automation tools.
- Work across most phases of software systems programming.
Required Technical Skills
- Active Secret clearance required at start. Clearance must be verifiable in DISS.
- Knowledge of coding standards, automated testing, automated build pipelines, and configuration.
- Strong Java/J2EE, C++/object-oriented, or similar language experience.
- Enterprise application development on Linux; Windows desired.
- Strong problem solving and root-cause analysis.
- Maven, Git/GitHub, Nexus, and Eclipse.
- Agile development methodologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work in a rapid‑paced team environment and accept unanticipated tasking.
Preferred Qualifications
- Command-and-control system application development.
- Software integration and formal testing.
- Ability to present advanced concepts to non-software engineers and senior military/program leaders.
- DevSecOps and/or build management.
