Summary Of The Role

We are excited to be openly taking applications for the position of Software Engineer within our development team. We are looking for a highly skilled engineer who is proficient with Python and the Django framework. As a member of our skilled team, you will play a role in building, maintaining, designing, and implementing new and current endpoints / features across our API and other back-end technologies.

Building a product is a highly collaborative effort, and as such, a strong team player with a commitment to perfection is required. This will be a remote position which will make the need for strong collaboration skills a necessity. We are looking for candidates that are self-motivated and eager to bring their development expertise to the table to help our team create and deliver a world class product.

Responsibilities

• Develop RESTful web services using Python’s Django and Django REST Framework to service multiple internal and external client applications.
• Help manage, maintain, and grow relational and No‑SQL based databases.
• Develop a pytest based test suite for our REST API.
• Work closely with other internal teams to make sure new feature developments fit seamlessly with existing platform components and meet the desired roadmap for their development.
• Collaborate with external project stakeholders to make sure agreed upon requirements are met.
• Aid in supporting the development and maintenance of existing platform features.
• Consider and maintain the security of the API across all system interactions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Preferable Bachelors in Computer Science or a related field.
• 2+ years experience working with related technologies and languages, particularly Python.
• Flexibility to work remotely and the ability to utilize remote collaboration tools (Zoom, Slack, etc.) to communicate and work with team members.

Preferred Skills

• Work experience as a Python Developer.
• Expertise in at least one popular Python framework (Django, Flask, etc.).
• Experience developing RESTful Applications.
• Experience using version control systems (git).
• Experience working with Relational Databases.
• Strong communication skills.
• Familiarity with cloud-based/web technologies.
• Attention to detail and quality.
• Great problem-solving skills.
• Eager and open to learning.
