Building the AI layer for engineering operations, the full-time Software Engineer, AI Platform will design, ship, and operate internal AI products and platform services in a remote setting, focusing on integrations and compliance within a regulated environment. Key Responsibilities Deploy and extend an internal AI chat and agent platform, integrating with existing infrastructure and tools Develop AI-native software engineering workflows in GitLab, enabling seamless AI interactions for engineers Design and maintain isolated sandboxes for AI development, ensuring safety and compliance in code execution Required Qualifications Strong software engineering fundamentals with experience in Python, Go, or TypeScript, and Terraform Hands-on experience building LLM-powered systems, including retrieval pipelines and agent orchestration Product sense for internal tooling, with experience deploying and integrating open-source applications Cloud and Kubernetes engineering skills, including experience with containers, Helm, and GKE Ability to work effectively in a regulated environment, eliciting constraints and designing observable systems
