The work will require the development of strong technical skills, closure software domain know-how and technical leadership growth. In addition, the candidate will support miscellaneous electronics hardware tasks with our customers and Tier 2 suppliers.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Learn about closure system and the engineering tools required to develop embedded controlsWork with customers to develop and document engineering requirementsTroubleshoot and help resolve system issues during developmentUse software instrumentation tools to acquire data to drive design decisions, calibration decisions and problem solvingLearn and use Model Based Design to develop, test and execute system controlsSupport customer system bench and vehicle integration build and testingDevelop and tune system calibrations on system fixtures and vehiclesQUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other engineering degrees may be acceptable if the candidate has a demonstrated proficiency in embedded control system developmentExperience with Closed loop Control Systems development using Matlab Simulink/Stateflow and dSPACE ControldeskData Acquisition and Calibration experience using tools like ATI, ETAS/INCAExperience with vehicle embedded control systems preferredExperience in electronics hardware development perferred3 years of industry experience preferredProficiency in MS Office tools is essentialGood oral and written English language skills.Strong technical writing skills.Ability to effectively represent information and respond to questions in a meeting environment.The candidate is a self-starter and possesses strong analytical capability. In addition, the candidate should possess excellent problem solving skills as evidenced by adherence to disciplined problem solving methods.Strong personal computer proficiency.
Experience with Matlab Simulink/Stateflow, dSPACE Controldesk and data acquisition/calibration tools such as ATI or ETAS/INCA.Knowledge and experience in control system design, C programming language, systems engineering and electronics/computer engineering concepts preferred.Strattec is an equal opportunity employer.
