Onsite Contract IT & Technology

At Wyetech, you’ll be at the center of an award-winning corporate culture, breaking technological barriers and solving real-world problems for our federal government customers. We are committed to hiring the best of the best, and in return, we offer a world‑class, truly unique employee experience that is rare within our industry.

The Software Engineer designs, develops, tests, deploys, documents, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems based upon documented requirements. These systems might include, but are not limited to, processing‑intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real‑time systems, business management information systems, and systems that incorporate data repositories, data transport services, and application and systems development and monitoring. The Engineer works individually or as part of a team, reviews and tests software components for adherence to design requirements, documents test results, resolves software problem reports, and utilizes appropriate software development and design methodologies. The Engineer provides specific input to the system design, including hardware/software trade‑offs, software reuse, use of open‑source and commercial off‑the‑shelf software, and requirements analysis from system level to individual components. Experience developing in Unix, shell scripting, configuration management tools, and web services implementation is required. The Engineer shall also be responsible for creating and maintaining data workflows and automation pipelines using Apache Airflow, focusing on building reliable, scalable, and observable workflow orchestration solutions that support data engineering, analytics, and operational use cases. The Engineer collaborates closely with data engineers, platform teams, and stakeholders to ensure workflows are efficient, secure, and production ready.

Telework: 16 hours per week
