Leading a team of software engineers, the full-time remote Software Development Manager will oversee the design, development, and delivery of components within the Merge enterprise imaging ecosystem, ensuring high-quality outcomes in a regulated medical environment. Key responsibilities Manage, mentor, and develop a team of 6-10 software engineers while fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews, contributing to technical decisions and driving engineering best practices Deliver features and releases for enterprise imaging components on time, ensuring compliance with medical imaging standards and workflows Required qualifications 8+ years of professional software development experience, with 3+ years in a management role Proven track record as a hands-on technical leader with experience in medical imaging software and knowledge of the DICOM standard Experience delivering software in regulated environments (e.g., IEC 62304, FDA, ISO 13485, HIPAA) Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern delivery practices (CI/CD, containers, automated testing) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
