Software Development Engineer 4The purpose of the Cloud Engineering team for Xbox Game Studios Publishing is to publishing builds first party games like Flight Simulator primarily through third party game studios. Key projects this role will contribute to are Towerborne, Ara, history untold, flight simulator.

The role will consist of the following, 10-20% meetings and 80% heads down building out platform; with in Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, Azure, and Terraform.This role provides exposure to unique problems, large variety of work, learning a lot of different code; rapid career opportunity for growth.Years of experience required: 8-10 overall years of experience in the field. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred to be eligible for this role. Candidates with someone who has only worked on just one portion of code and is not familiar with helm, terraform, azure will not be eligible for the role. The ideal resume would contain demonstrated writing in helm and terraform. Security focus, familiar with azure service operator. Performance will be assessed based on quality of work.We are seeking a Software Engineer with a strong background in cloud services and infrastructure, who is passionate about security, automation, scalability, and reliability. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines, Kubernetes, Azure cloud services, and infrastructure as code using Terraform.Responsibilities include implementing and maintaining security best practices to ensure the integrity and protection of cloud-based applications and infrastructure. Design, build, and maintain Azure DevOps Pipelines for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) workflows. Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes on Azure. Provision and manage Azure cloud resources using Terraform scripts. Monitor and optimize the performance, cost, and security of cloud-based applications and infrastructure.Proven experience with Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, Azure, and Terraform. Strong understanding of cloud-native technologies and microservices architecture.

Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Bash. Familiarity with Git. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. 8-10 years of experience, preferably in a gaming or cloud services environment.
