Job Description
We are looking for a Software Developer Intern . This role is a full-time internship and is remote . The internship dates are June 7, 2027 through August 6, 2027 . This internship is a full-time opportunity requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week . Candidates must be available during core business hours for the entire 9-week duration of the program. Please note that all work must be performed within the United States.
What You'll Do
* Develop front-end features and components using Vue.js
* Add accessibility-compliant code to ensure WCAG standards and inclusive front-end experiences
* Debug both front-end and backend applications to identify, analyze, and resolve issues
* Troubleshoot and fix bugs in existing web applications
* Perform backend development using Eclipse, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture
* Integrate backend services with PostgreSQL databases
* Execute CRUD operations (Create, Read, Update, Delete) on database tables for development and troubleshooting
What You'll Need
Required:
* Currently enrolled in a college degree program in an Information Technology-related major
* Some programming experience in Java through coursework or prior internships
* Current Junior with a 3.5 GPA or higher
Preferred:
* Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.js
* Familiarity with Spring Boot or microservices architecture
* Exposure to PostgreSQL or other relational databases
* Understanding of web accessibility standards and best practices
* Experience using version control tools such as Git
Physical Demands
* Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
* Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time
* Ability to conduct tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard and monitor
