Contract for 7 hours per days and 187 days per school year; days will be prorated for the remainder of the school year.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Corrections and Juvenile Services, Human Services, Psychology, Counseling, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of two (2) years of successful experience providing counseling, case management, social services, or related support services to children, adolescents, and families.
- Experience working in a school setting is preferred.

BASIC FUNCTION:
Provide individual and group counseling services; provide school-related social service needs of the students enrolled in assigned program; coordinate activities with administration to implement program and District policies and objectives; assist with school and community groups.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
- Collaborates with teachers, other school personnel, and agencies to secure needed services for students
- Triages student behavioral needs during the school day, refer students to appropriate school personnel; and link families with community resources when applicable
- Designs individual and group counseling instructional sessions
- Establishes and leads individual and group counseling instructional sessions
- Assists with registration requirements and procedures
- Involves parents/guardians in supportive plans for students
- Offers services to family as needed to work successfully with students
- Makes home, community and agency visits as needed
- Makes referrals to community resources
- Maintain and manage a personal case load
- Performs record-keeping duties and maintains accurate documentation of records.
- Participates in public relation activities representing social services to community and other social agencies.
- Establishes and maintains positive supportive relationships with students and their families.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
