Snowmaking ElectricianThe Snowmaking Electrician supports the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and electronic components related to the resort's snowmaking systems and industrial equipment. Working under the direction of the Snowmaking Supervisor and Mountain Electrical Supervisor, this role contributes to both snowmaking operations and preventative maintenance efforts to ensure safe and reliable system performance in all weather conditions.Duties & Responsibilities:Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, conduit, and controls for snowmaking and industrial equipmentConnect power and control wiring to machinery and equipmentDiagnose and troubleshoot electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical system issuesRepair or replace faulty components including motors, relays, switches, transformers, wiring, cables, and circuit boardsPerform preventative maintenance on snowmaking systems, machine rooms, and pneumatic controlsOperate, maintain, clean, and relocate snowmaking equipment in accordance with company proceduresTest malfunctioning equipment and collaborate with Snowmaking and Electrical teams to identify and resolve issuesAssist with wiring layout and installation of electrical apparatus in buildings and operational areasRespond to equipment failures and perform repairs in varying and adverse weather conditionsParticipate in snowmaking operations and support overall mountain operations as neededAttend and comply with all required safety trainings, including Lockout/Tagout and Fall Protection proceduresMaintain a safe, clean, and organized work environmentPerform additional duties as assignedQualifications:Current U.S. Driver's License requiredIdaho Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent requiredStrong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skillsAbility to read, interpret, and complete routine reports and technical documentationStrong verbal communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructionsBasic knowledge of algebra, geometry, and electrical theoryAbility to work independently and adapt in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme cold and overnight shiftsBasic computer proficiency and ability to learn operational systemsFlexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and rotating shiftsEngage in physical activities like standing for long periods, walking, and utilizing hands for tasks that involve gripping, handling, and reachingCan safely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 poundsHave strong vision capabilities, including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus as needed
