Located an hour West of Seattle via Interstate 90 at Snoqualmie Pass, The Summit includes four unique mountain areas, a snow tubing park, Nordic center, SnowSports School, and 10+ food and beverage establishments.ResponsibilitiesJob duties may include, but are not limited to:Excellence in ExecutionPerform pre-use visual and auditory inspection of hydrants and identify failure vectorsOperate traditional water hydrants, including open/close procedures and over-pressure/hose-burst awarenessHook up, start up, and shut down snow guns (SMI PoleCat/Denali/Boyne Low E tower guns), including valve manifold checksConnect and manage hydraulic hose bundles from hydrant to tower manifold, preventing kinks and burst hazardsLearn and follow radio protocol, including channel use, 10-codes, and calling in all gun state changesOperate snowmobiles and ATVs/UTVs safely on steep, variable mountain terrain following certification standardsSafely board and unload chairlifts with tools; maintain snowcat boarding safety and blind-spot awarenessAttitude is EverythingSafely navigate mountain terrain, including tree-line travel, basic step-cutting, and avoiding boot holes in ski terrainPerform additional duties/support when necessary, adapting willingly to shifting crew needsQualificationsWhat we are looking for:RequiredWillingness to learn is essential; no prior snowmaking experience requiredMust be able to work a flexible schedule including day and night shifts, weekends, and holidaysMust be physically capable of negotiating all types of mountainous terrain while attending to snowmaking equipmentMust be willing to work outside in all weather conditionsPunctual, positive, and adaptable; works safely and willingly in all types of weather without complaintAbility to work independently once trained, while knowing personal limits and asking for help when uncertainMust be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's licenseSafety oriented mindsetStrong self-motivatedPreferredHigh school diploma or equivalentRelated technical or outdoor experienceWage and Benefit Info:The wage for this positions is: from $26.00/hrThis is a non-benefited role.All individuals may contribute to the 401(k).
