Stanford Medicine Partners is hiring a Radiologic Technologist/MRI Technician in the United States.

Overview

Under general supervision, the technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures using conventional equipment and advanced imaging software to assist physicians in diagnosing disease and injuries.

Responsibilities

  • Perform specialized and routine diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain cooperation.
  • Prepare and position patients, adjust immobilization devices for optimum views.
  • Determine imaging acquisition factors based on patient characteristics.
  • Move and adjust imaging equipment to obtain high‑quality images.
  • Practice radiation protection, standard precautions, and proper sterilization techniques.
  • Prepare images for interpretation by radiologists or clinicians, including acquisition, processing, and quality control.
  • Assist radiologists and clinicians with diagnostic examinations.
  • Complete and scan consent forms; maintain records, logs, and reports.
  • Perform other department‑specific duties and participate in organizational projects.
  • Adhere to safety, P4P, HIPAA, and compliance policies.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Completion of a two‑year JRCERT accredited program in Radiography and/or Magnetic Resonance.
  • Three (3) years of experience, with at least one (1) year of specialty certification.
  • Proficient in venipuncture and use of the Power Injector (preferred).
  • Experience with Epic, SECTRA PACS and PACSGear (preferred).
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Superior patient care and communication skills.
  • Organizational and multi‑tasking skills, ability to supervise modalities.
  • Computer skills to navigate electronic medical records and related systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, maintain concentration, and follow procedures.

Licenses & Certifications

  • American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.
  • ARRT‑MRI – Certified (or ARRT in MRI / ARMRIT – American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists).

Travel Requirements

Approximately 20% travel.

Compensation

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $56.85 – $75.32 per hour, determined by internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
