The Host Country is the economic leader of the WAEMU (West African Economic and Monetary Union) Zone and has developed four energy sector master plans to identify priority investments in generation, transmission, distribution, dispatching, monitoring, and management of the electricity grid.The ProSidian Engagement Team shall support the improvement of the Host Country electricity grid ("Project").Prosidian provides expert consulting services to perform the TA and benchmarks best practices for reducing electricity losses globally; analyze the losses in the Host Country electricity system; and develop a full "Loss Reduction Strategy" and implementation plan that considers The Host Country's energy growth and renewable energy goals.QualificationsThe Smart Grid Electrical Engineer/Power Systems Analysis Expert shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/Power point) and related tools and technology required for the position. Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. The candidate shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner that meets milestones/delivery schedules as outlined.Electrical Engineer for 10 or 5 years, respectively.Experience in HV grid planning activities (with examples)Fluent in French + EnglishThe United States Govt. requires employees of U.S. Contractor or U.S. subcontractor firms shall be U.S. citizens, non-U.S. citizens lawfully admitted for permanent residence in the United States or non-U.S. citizens lawfully admitted to work in the United States, except as provided pursuant to subpart (d) up to twenty percent (20%) of the USTDA Grant amount may be used to pay for services performed by (i) Host Country subcontractors, and/or (ii) Host Country nationals who are employees of the ContractorThe Smart Grid Electrical Engineer/Power Systems Analysis Expert(s) must be an Electrical Engineer, with a Master in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. She/he must be an Electrical Engineer, with a Master in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. She/he must have at least five (5) years of experience in power system operation analysis. She/he must have a good proficiency of computer tools for electrical calculations (static and dynamic simulations) and a good practice of the French language (speaking and writing). The expert must have conducted at least two (2) comparable studies. A copy of the diploma and a statement proving that the Expert has such experience, citing the projects that enable her/him to fulfill these criteria (project name, country, dates, responsible administration, funder) are to be attached to submission.
Experience in West Africa will be considered as a plus.Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria.
