Overview
The Springs of Texarkana is seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our therapy team. In this role, you will provide essential speech therapy services to residents in a skilled nursing facility, helping to enhance their quality of life through improved communication and swallowing function.
Responsibilities
* Evaluate residents' speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
* Provide direct speech therapy services in accordance with physician orders and facility policies
* Document all evaluations, treatments, and resident progress accurately and in a timely manner
* Educate residents, families, and staff on communication and swallowing strategies
* Participate in care planning and team meetings as needed
Requirements
* Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the state of Arkansas
* Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred
* Experience in a skilled nursing facility or geriatric setting preferred
* Strong knowledge of evaluation and treatment techniques for communication and swallowing disorders
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills
