Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP)

At Elderwood, our Mission is People Caring for People. We are seeking a compassionate, clinically driven Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team and help residents achieve the highest level of communication, cognition, and swallowing function.

Salary $35.00 - $50.00 / Hour

Overview

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate residents and establish individualized treatment plans
  • Provide speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing therapy services
  • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
  • Educate residents, families, and caregivers
  • Participate in care planning and discharge planning activities
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and professional practice standards
  • Support positive clinical outcomes and resident satisfaction

Qualifications

  • M.A. or M.S. Degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an approved school required.
  • State license to practice as a Speech‑Language Pathologist required.
  • Clinical Competence Certification from the American Speech and Hearing Association preferred.
  • Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing required.
  • Current, valid CPR/BLS credential.
  • Qualities of maturity, diplomacy, and ability to work well with others required.
  • Verification of qualifications by the State Department of Health.
  • Rehabilitation Therapies (license number/certification number) required.
  • Ability to perform tasks to established standards of excellence required.
  • Demonstrated willingness to uphold the vision and mission of the company by following the core values of Integrity, Team work, Passion for Excellence and Reverence for the Individual is required.
  • English language proficiency: read, write, speak, and understand at an intermediate or more advanced level.
