Job Opportunity
Position: Speech Language Pathologist
Shift: 8 AM - 5 PM
Unit Information
This unit comprises 381 beds and is staffed by:

• 1 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) Speech Therapist on Day Shift
• 1 PRN Speech Therapist (once a week)

Patient ratios will depend on caseload demands.
Technology and Equipment
Utilizes EMR systems: Meditech Magic / Meditech Expanse.
Hiring Profile
Essential Skills:

• Neonatal Experience
• Modified Barium Swallow Study

Preferred Qualifications:

• Pediatric Experience
• Adult Experience

Typical Responsibilities

• Evaluate speech, language, and swallowing abilities of patients with impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities due to various causes, including premature birth, birth injuries, injury, and disease.
• Synthesize evaluation data to establish evidence-based plans of care tailored to the patient's age and development.
• Interact and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to implement and assess intervention programs.
• Complete various other responsibilities as assigned.

Required Certifications

• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA

Floating Areas
Potential floating to NICU, Pediatric, and Adult units as needed.
Dress Code
Scrub Attire: Dark Blue. Adherence to bare below the elbows policy is required in the NICU.
Additional Information
No weekend or on-call responsibilities are associated with this position.
