Skull Base Neurosurgeon

Tenet Healthcare and DMC Medical Group are seeking a fellowship-trained skull base neurosurgeon to join a nationally recognized academic medical center in Detroit, MI. This full-time employed position offers a mixed practice of general neurosurgery and skull base procedures within a robust support infrastructure. The role provides an opportunity to practice at a high level, with resources available for research pursuits.

Practice Info

• Primary practice location: DMC Neurosurgery Clinic at Harper Hospital (downtown Detroit)
• Hospital privileges at all 5 DMC facilities
• PACS imaging on-site, directly connected to the hospital
• Supportive ancillary staff and in-house billing, coding, and collections
• Newly established, fully accredited Neuro Critical Care Fellowship program
• Free parking at all DMC facilities

Responsibilities

• Perform general neurosurgery and skull base procedures
• Participate in shared call among 5 providers
• Participate in research

Shift & Schedule

• Full Time
• Typical schedule: 3-4 clinic days and 1-2 OR/procedure/call days per week
• Shared call among 5 providers

Requirements

• MD or DO degree
• Board eligible or board certified in neurological surgery
• Completion of an accredited skull base fellowship required
• Michigan medical license, or eligibility to obtain licensure in the State of Michigan
• 3-5 years of clinical experience post-training
