We are seeking a full time Workforce Project Specialist to join our team! JOB SUMMARY: As a key member of the SkillSpring department, the Workforce Project Specialist will engage with current participants in the young adult program and alumni in an effort to prepare for and secure employment. Acting as a direct service provider and a referral source to outside resources, the Workforce Project Specialist must possess a strong work ethic, a passion for working with underserved young adults, and be able to build and manage relationships with internal and external partners contributing to the professional success of the SkillSpring workforce programs. Additionally, the Workforce Project Specialist will assist in collecting short-term and long-term program outcomes, culminating in an annual report. REPORTS TO: Young Adult Program Manager- Workforce Programs DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure the health, safety and well-being of participants in the young adult program, by providing support and supervision of all activities.Facilitation of young adult programming including professional development, clinical skills training, health career explorationMonitor participation of young adult programming by scheduling, tracking and reporting on various data points, including but not limited to attendance and surveysPerform and develop creative outreach to all graduates of SkillSpring's Workforce (Young Adult) Programs through various communication means (I.e. phone, email, and social media)Serve as a career development consultant to all program participants, post program – via the delivery of workshops, trainings, presentations, and other events to foster participant professional successBuild and maintain a network of potential healthcare employers for job opportunitiesConduct 1-1 relevant counseling sessions with participants upon requestAdministrative duties including maintaining an updated Alumni database, tracking SkillSpring graduates' educational and occupational outcomes, data entry, and compiling data and reports for fundersOn occasion, will support the SkillSpring team, leading and supporting other program activities as neededCreate an environment that is diverse, culturally sensitive and relevant to the needs of young adultsPerforms other related duties as required*This position may require some mornings, evenings and Saturdays at multiple sites. Hours, days and locations fluctuate based on seasonal changes.

Skills & Requirements JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree requiredExperience with underserved, urban young adults and first-generation college studentsPassion for working with youth and young adultsFamiliarity with healthcare career trajectoriesExperience developing new roles or new initiativesFamiliarity with research methods and program evaluation is a plus SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: Excellent interpersonal skills; Engaging, extroverted personality is a strong assetStrong computer literacy- specifically Excel, is requiredAbility to read, analyze and interpret raw dataWorking knowledge of a CRM is highly desirableCompetent in teaching resume building, interview skills, and professionalismAbility to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals (writing sample required)Experience in planning and facilitating group workshops/eventsAbility to work independently and as a part of a teamExcellent verbal and written communication requiredAttention to detail and deadlinesFlexibility and adaptability a mustBilingual preferred (Spanish/English) PHYSICAL DEMANDS :Required to stand and talk or hear, walk and sit.Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.Travel to multiple divisions when necessary.Salary Range: $50,000 per annumThe New Jewish Home (TNJH) provides a salary range in compliance with New York City's Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements Law.
