The ideal worker is responsible for a variety of tasks, including various food processing machine operations, stacking and inspection of cases, ensuring product quality, and stacking per product specifications; stack-off; labeling; and any other duties assigned by the Shift SupervisorsDuties are to be carried out while following established Standard Operating Procedures in a manner that is compliant with our safety policies.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.Stack cases in a pattern assigned to the productExperience in operating various machinery as it relates to Berner's Operations: Packaging Systems (KHS); Filler Machine, Retorts (aseptic), Brewing equipment (Brew Deck operations); Labeler, and Pallatizer.Experience and understanding of CCPs; SOPs; Customer Specifications, Production AnalyticsLabel products accordingly to product requirementsPerform various tasks as assigned by Supervisor.Keep area clear of debris and hazardsInspect cases while being stacked for proper packing, damaged product, or other deformitiesPlace a holding layer of shrink wrap on pallets to ensure stabilityProactively inform Supervisors and Line Operators of problemsIn some cases, perform scanning functions and issue paperwork or tracking numbersRequirementsMust be able to lift up to twenty pounds regularly and repetitivelyMust have the ability to read a production schedule/assignmentMust have the ability to communicate effectively with the SupervisorsMust have a solid understanding of basic mathMust be able to read, write, and comprehend EnglishWorking Conditions• Indoors• Walking on wet and slippery floors• Standing/Walking up to 100% of shift
