Common duties will include but are not limited to operation of hand and power tools, clean and preparation of job sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, fencing, clean up of rubble and debris, chipping, hedging, and mulching of forestry, spreading of frac sand, signaling or flagging for operation control, loading and unloading, identifying building materials, machinery, and tools, and distributing them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications. Laborers are expected to be able to endure physical demands such as bend, stoop, squat, or stand for a significant period of time, lift at least fifty pounds, climb a ladder, and withstand outside temperature changes.
