The qualified individual will work directly under the supervision of a Laborer performing the functions listed below using carpenter’s hand tools and power tools, while conforming to local building codes. Our ideal candidate should be a hardworking individual who will show up on time and finish out the job to the best of their ability.Position Requirements (May Include But Not Limited To):Perform setup and clean up tasks at job site, including removal of debrisNavigate construction job site terrain. Direct traffic within construction site when necessary to ensure safety of work crewAssist with the loading and delivery of materialsDemolition & rubbish removal; site maintenance/cleaningMay operate a variety of hand and power toolsMaintain safe working conditions and adhere to Occupational Health and Safety regulations, as well as company policy and proceduresProvide labor support as necessary for carpenters, masons, and other specialized contractorsAssists mechanic to position, align, and fit together construction components to complete the installation of systems and work assigned in a timely and quality fashionHolds, positions, and reads tape to assist in layoutPlaces and moves equipment and materialsPositions and turns clamps; screws, bolts, and hammers parts together; uses tools and equipment properly and only if certified (as required)Transports and furnishes mechanic with materials, tools, and suppliesMaintain a clean work area and ensure tools, equipment, and materials are stored properly and securelyPosition Qualifications:Applicant will provide own hand tools, belt, and have reliable transportation1-3 years of experience working residential and/or commercial job sitesOSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30Willing to work and travel in all weather conditionsExperience with exposure to heights, chemicals, dust, dirt, fumes, noise, sludge and moving mechanical partsAbility to lift up to 100 lbsAbility to spend long periods of time in awkward positions such as bending, reaching and kneelingAbility to work under pressure, collaborate with diverse personalities, and complete assignments according to project timelinesAbility to work 40 hours a week, and over time if neededNow in our 26th year of operation, ROI partners with professionals in the Design, Construction and Environmental industries to help them identify great opportunities within their area of expertise.
