Apprentice Lighting InstallerOutdoor Lighting Perspectives is looking for an Apprentice Lighting Installer who will be responsible for installation of low voltage outdoor lighting systems generally in residential and light commercial settings. May be working in small crew or individually installing and maintaining low voltage lighting systems as well as installing holiday lighting during the season. Position begins with on the job training; sign on bonus and continued bonus structure.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesAssembling lights and mounting fixtures in prescribed locationsSpeaking with the customer to upsell other productsProvide customer with system orientation as applicableProper care and operation of company vehiclesEnsuring there are proper inventory levelsRunning and burying low voltage wiring in landscape areas and lawnsMounting transformers and connecting wire runsClean up of all areas affected by the installationProviding direction and/or assistance to other installers when applicableSpeaking with clients to inform and educate them about additional products and services availableEssential Skills & AttributesHas a driver's license with a clean driving record (no moving violations or accidents in the last three years)Makes a good first impression by being well-groomed, articulate, personable, and comfortable with meeting new peopleEnjoys interacting with customers with respect and integrityAbove-average technical abilityAttention to detail and respect for our customer's propertySystematic in their approachProactive, problem solverStrong sense of pride and integrity in work productAbility to stand, walk, and bend constantly working both at ground level and over head and occasionally lift up to 75 lbsComfortable with ladders and working at heightsEducation, Training, ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED.Ideal candidate should have varied computer experience.Candidate may have landscape, construction, or electrical backgroundOutdoor Lighting Perspectives is an equal opportunity employer and supports a drug-free workplace.
