Skilled Labor - Commercial Construction General LaborerWe are seeking a reliable and hardworking Commercial Construction General Laborer to support a capital improvement project for a school. This role involves assisting skilled trades, maintaining safe and organized job site conditions, handling materials, and performing a variety of general labor tasks to ensure efficient project execution.ResponsibilitiesMaintain clean, safe, and organized job site conditions in accordance with company and OSHA standards.Assist with the loading, unloading, and transportation of construction materials and equipment.Perform general labor tasks such as digging, lifting, carrying, sweeping, and debris removal.Support skilled trades such as carpenters, electricians, and plumbers as needed.Set up and take down temporary structures, barriers, and signage.Operate basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently.Assist with site preparation, including grading and layout support.Monitor and restock supplies and materials to ensure continuous workflow.Follow all safety procedures and promptly report hazards or incidents.Perform other duties as assigned to support project completion.Essential Skills1+ years of experience in commercial construction or related fields such as residential construction, roofing, landscaping, site construction, or building maintenance.OSHA 10 Certification.Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.Experience with hand and power tools.Ability to work with good safety habits.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience in construction or general labor preferred; commercial experience is a plus.Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting 50+ pounds, standing, bending, and working in various weather conditions.Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment.Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.Understanding of job site safety practices.Why Work Here?Enjoy the benefits of weekly pay and the opportunity to work overtime. The standard shift is Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Hamilton, NY.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
