Industrial Painter Responsibilities:
- Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, sanding, masking, and inspecting components prior to painting
- Apply primers, paints, and specialty coatings using spray equipment and other industrial painting methods
- Follow work instructions, technical drawings, and customer specifications to ensure quality standards are met
- Inspect painted parts for proper coverage, thickness, finish quality, and overall appearance
- Maintain accurate production records and complete required quality documentation
- Ensure compliance with commercial and aerospace manufacturing specifications
- Monitor paint supplies and notify management when materials need replenishment
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of spray guns, paint booths, and related equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all OSHA and company safety procedures
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule
Requirements for Industrial Painter:
- Minimum 3-5 years of industrial painting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Experience applying industrial coatings using conventional, HVLP, or airless spray equipment
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality cosmetic finishes
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions, specifications, and technical documentation
- Experience completing production paperwork and quality documentation
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
- Forklift and overhead crane experience is a plus
- Experience in commercial, aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing is highly preferred
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality
- Dependable and self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Safety-focused and committed to maintaining a clean work environment
- Organized and capable of managing multiple priorities
- A team player who communicates effectively with production and quality personnel
- Dedicated to continuous improvement and delivering products that meet the high standards of the aerospace industry
