CNC Machinist$25-$28/hour1stFlexible between 5am-6pmQPS Employment Group is hiring a CNC Machinist for a company in Juneau, WI. This is a direct hire opportunity on 1st shift.CNC Machinist Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:Set up and operate manual and/or CNC machines (mill, lathe, drill press, grinder, saw)Machine parts to specified tolerances using prints, CAD models, and work instructionsPerform basic fabrication tasks, including cutting, drilling, tapping, deburring, and finishingInspect machined components using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring toolsAssemble mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components into sub-assemblies and finished equipmentRead and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and bills of material (BOMs)Align, shim, fasten, and torque components to specificationInstall bearings, motors, gearboxes, belts, chains, guarding, and safety devicesPerform functional testing of assembled equipment to verify proper operationTroubleshoot mechanical issues and identify root causes of fit, alignment, or performance problemsMake modifications or repairs as required to meet design intent and operational requirementsProvide feedback to engineering on design improvements, manufacturability, and serviceabilityAssist with equipment installation, commissioning, and ramp-up in production areasMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with 5S standardsFollow all safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and machine safety requirementsEnsure work meets company quality standards and documentation requirementsReport safety hazards, equipment issues, and quality concerns promptlyCNC Machinist Requirements:- High school diploma or GED required; technical school or apprenticeship preferred- Proficient reading mechanical blueprints and GD&T basics- Hands-on experience with manual machining (CNC experience a plus)- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills- Ability to use precision measuring tools accuratelyQPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
