Kalkaska Memorial Health Center is seeking an experienced Skilled & Acute Therapy Team Lead/Coordinator to oversee our inpatient rehabilitation services. This role provides leadership for Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy services for patients receiving care in our hospital and skilled nursing settings.
As a working leader, you will support staff, improve department operations, and provide high-quality patient care. If you enjoy mentoring others, building strong teams, and helping patients reach their goals, we'd love to hear from you.
Requirements
Required
- Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy, Physical Therapist Assistant, Occupational Therapy, Occupational Therapy Assistant, or Speech Language Pathology program
- Current Michigan license, or eligible for Michigan licensure
- Minimum two years of clinical experience
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work well with patients, families, providers, and staff
- Basic computer skills
Preferred
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience
- Experience in skilled nursing/acute care rehabilitation services
Summary
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Provide direct patient care as part of the therapy team
- Help oversee daily operations of skilled and acute therapy services
- Support Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy staff
- Assist with staff training, mentoring, and professional development
- Help manage department schedules, staffing, and workflow
- Monitor quality measures and patient satisfaction goals
- Support compliance with healthcare regulations and department policies
- Assist with budgeting, supplies, and department resources
- Help onboard and train new team members
- Participate in recruiting and interviewing candidates
- Work with leadership to improve services and patient outcomes
- Foster a positive and supportive team environment
