Site Superintendent – Institutional Education ProjectsLocation: Various sites in the San Francisco East Bay area Compensation: $125,000 - $175,000OverviewThe Site Superintendent will oversee day-to-day construction activities for educational facility projects in the East Bay area, ensuring all work is completed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with DSA and OSHPD requirements. This role is responsible for managing on-site teams, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining quality standards, while serving as the primary point of contact for site operations throughout the duration of each project.Must HavesProven experience as a Site Superintendent for a General Contractor.Direct experience working with DSA (Division of the State Architect) and/or OSHPD (Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development) on regulated education projectsStrong working knowledge of California building codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirementsDemonstrated success supervising field operations on active construction sitesExcellent leadership and communication skills for managing trades, subcontractors, and site teamsAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, schedules, and specificationsStrong track record of enforcing safety protocols and quality standards on siteSkilled at maintaining project schedules and coordinating site logisticsAuthorization to work in the United StatesNice to HavesFamiliarity with Procore or similar construction management softwareOSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety trainingBilingual English/SpanishLEED project experienceResponsibilitiesOversee daily site operations for educational facility construction projects in the East Bay areaSupervise all on-site activities, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to specificationCoordinate and direct subcontractors, trades, and suppliers to maintain workflow and qualityEnforce site safety protocols and conduct regular safety meetings and inspectionsCommunicate effectively with project managers, architects, consultants, and client representativesReview project drawings, schedules, and submittals to ensure accurate execution of workMonitor progress and proactively resolve site issues, delays, or conflictsMaintain site documentation, including daily reports, logs, and safety recordsInspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards and contract requirementsManage site logistics, including deliveries, storage, equipment, and site accessLead site meetings and contribute to project planning and coordinationEnsure all work adheres to DSA/OSHPD and local regulatory requirementsReport regularly on project status, progress, and any site challenges to senior management
