Site Reliability Engineer

Hybrid: 3x a week onsite in Bethesda, MD
Optomi, in partnership with a leading global consulting firm, is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to support a major client’s SRE program. This individual will support a portfolio of applications within the banking domain, focusing on system reliability, performance, and operational support across AWS and Linux environments.
Responsibilities:
- Support and maintain a portfolio of applications, ensuring system reliability, availability, and performance.
- Apply SRE principles and practices to improve system stability and operational efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues within Linux-based infrastructure and AWS environments.
- Collaborate with offshore engineering teams to coordinate operational support and maintain 24/7 coverage.
- Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and ongoing reliability improvements.
- Communicate effectively with client stakeholders and engineering teams.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong hands-on Linux experience.
- Previous Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) experience.
- Knowledge of AWS infrastructure and cloud environments.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with PCS Linux.
- Familiarity with Dynatrace.
- Experience with Harness CI/CD pipelines.
