The Role
Collaborate across a cohesive team of engineers, developers, and trade support teams to build world class systems and tools to maintain and constantly improve. A successful individual in this position will possess a mind of innovation and automation who can constantly use measurements and statistics to improve.
Members of the team have backgrounds in a range of areas including: software development, networking, UNIX internals and large-scale systems administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain high levels of uptime, reliability, and performance for software systems
- Identify and automate routine processes to eliminate recurring issues
- Take full ownership of incident detection, troubleshooting, and resolution
- Collaborate with development teams to transition new services into production environments
- Optimize and modernize infrastructure to enhance stability, scalability, and security
- Ensure systems are properly supported and meet production-readiness standards
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience operating and troubleshooting distributed systems, including optimizing performance, ensuring reliability, and triaging complex interactions across services and infrastructure layers
- Proficiency in Python, with experience building production‑grade tooling, automation workflows, diagnostics, and integrations that support large‑scale systems operations
- Familiar with modern software development methodologies and tools, including version control, testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization
- Practical understanding of cloud environments (preferably GCP), IP networking, LAN/WAN concepts, and Linux‑based networking
- Strong communication skills—both written and verbal
