Our team is responsible for overseeing quality systems, driving continuous improvement, ensuring compliance, and managing risk across multiple functional areas.What You Will Be DoingAs the Site Quality Manager you will be responsible for leading quality strategy, coordinating cross‑functional teams, and delivering measurable quality outcomes.Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Lead cross‑functional quality initiatives across Quality, Reliability, Test, and InspectionDirect recruitment, training, performance assessment, and career development for quality personnelAllocate resources, assign work, and maintain an effective business rhythmImplement and monitor the quality management system and metrics program, addressing adverse trendsManage risk, opportunity, cost commitments, and ensure product acceptance and delivery per program requirementsDevelop and set up Quality systems and processes in new environmentThis position will initially require extensive travel to Thomasville, GA, estimated 25%.Why Join UsThe ideal candidate is collaborative, results‑driven, and passionate about elevating quality excellence. This role offers the chance to shape enterprise‑wide quality practices, influence strategic decisions, and make a lasting impact on product reliability.Basic QualificationsMust have the ability to obtain a secret security clearanceBachelor’s level degree or higher in STEM or equivelant combined education/experiencePrior Supplier Quality Engineering experience developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured and procured products.Demonstrated experience applying AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality management system requirementsHands on experience dealing with inspection of hardware and rework / repair of hardwareProven ability to lead root cause and corrective action efforts using standard methodologies (RCCA, A3, 5-Why, Fishbone)Experience with nonconformance management, corrective action systems, and audit supportWorking knowledge of statistical analysis tools (SPC, trend analysis, capability studies)Ability to interpret and apply engineering drawings, specifications, and contractual requirementsExperience working in cross-functional environments to resolve quality issues and drive closureEffective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration.Ability to work independently with limited direction while managing competing priorities  Flexibility in work schedule is required; overtime may be necessary to meet mission needs.Desired SkillsExperience in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated manufacturing environmentsDemonstrated experience serving as a Quality Subject Matter Expert (SME)Experience mentoring or providing technical guidance to junior Quality EngineersExperience supporting program execution, production operations, or system deploymentsExperience with digital manufacturing and enterprise systems (e.g., Apriso, SAP, Windchill)Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives, risk reduction, or cost savingsExperience with performing First Article Inspections to AS9102 requirements.Experience working with Government customers and suppliers in a sustainment environment.Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma tools and continuous improvement methodologiesStrong written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of technical documentation and leadership briefingsQuality certifications such as ASQ CQE, CQA, or Six Sigma Green/Black BeltAbility to influence quality decisions at the program, site, or enterprise levelPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $ - $ At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
