Job Description
Under the responsibility of the Regional Director, you will be responsible for supervising, directing, and controlling the operations of the site. The manager will have to respond effectively to the requirements of safety, quality, and production. He/she will oversee the planning of the overall allocation of employees, material, and economic resources and will work with management to continuously optimize and improve processes.
The Site Manager would be responsible for:
Operations
- Purchasing ferrous and non‑ferrous materials.
- Handling management of site activities.
Leadership
- Managing, coaching, and motivating the team and completing the performance evaluations.
- Ensuring the procedures of daily operations with the employees, and then monitoring the execution of all their activities.
Performance Management and Measures
- Monitoring staff and reporting on their results.
- Prioritizing, analyzing performance gaps, identifying business opportunities, and ensuring cost reductions, using available tools.
- Preparing any reports required for management.
- Working towards the achievement of budgetary financial results.
- Controlling inventory and quality.
Client orientation
- Promoting and managing a customer‑oriented team.
- Being on the lookout for new, innovative, and creative services that will improve or simplify processes.
- Ensuring local marketing and meeting the specific needs of the site’s customers.
- Defining, developing, and implementing improvements to the processes, procedures, and policies of operations.
Other related tasks
- Enforcing health and safety regulations. Making the necessary arrangements to ensure the physical security of the premises.
Qualifications
- Three to five years’ experience in a similar position, ideally in the metal industry.
- Strong execution and decision‑making skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong leadership, coaching, and motivational skills.
- Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- Strong written and oral communication, listening, and problem‑solving skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work regularly in outdoor climatic conditions and varying weather environments.
- Capability to be exposed to hazardous materials and industrial site conditions while maintaining safety protocols.
- Physical stamina to conduct site inspections and walk the facility grounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced industrial environment with exposure to noise, dust, and other occupational hazards typical of metal processing operations.
- Able to lift 35 lbs.
