This role is ideal for a hands‑on leader with strong operational, maintenance, and safety expertise, along with the ability to manage people, processes, and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary on‑site leader, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient daily operations across a 24/7 environment.
- Act as the site’s main point of contact for customers, vendors, regulatory agencies, and other external partners.
- Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, capital planning, and identifying opportunities for operational improvements and revenue growth.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team through effective staffing, coaching, training, and performance management.
- Direct and support maintenance activities, including preventive programs and heavy‑equipment oversight.
- Drive project planning and execution, contributing to long‑term business planning and operational strategy.
- Maintain a strong culture of safety, quality, and ethical work practices in alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years experience in operations management within steel, scrap, aggregate, construction, or similar industrial sectors.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs, industrial safety standards, and heavy‑equipment operations.
- Prior leadership experience in a maintenance environment is highly desirable.
- Strong project management, planning, communication, and writing skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
