Remote Full Time Management & Operations

Job Summary

THIS ROLE WILL REQUIRE A LONG-TERM SITE PRESENCE, OR RELOCATION. THIS IS NOT A REMOTE ROLE.

The Department Manager is responsible for supervising and directing the work activities of their respective team, ensuring efficient staffing, material and financial management, customer care, and delivery of project goals.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Recruit, hire, train, manage, supervise, promote, discipline, and discharge department staff as needed.
  • Manage all human resource issues and provide recommendations for performance ratings, promotions, and pay changes.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to meet departmental goals and objectives.
  • Distribute workload and monitor project profitability to achieve company goals.
  • Manage scopes of work including structured cable, audio‑visual, security, life safety, estimating or BIM.
  • Participate in or facilitate the bid process.
  • Oversee quality and safety issues on customer work.
  • Act as the company liaison with customer representatives.
  • Create, develop, and implement account process improvements.
  • Travel within branch or regional territory as required.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalency; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of supervisory or managerial experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years in telecommunications or a related technical or construction field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and MS Project).
  • Strong problem‑solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Proficiency in managing multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet company minimum driving standards.
  • Must be able to secure and maintain a company‑sponsored American Express Card.

Physical and Mental Requirements

  • Self‑motivated, professional, and positive in approach.
  • Ability to lead and develop project process improvements.
  • Capability to read, write, and give oral presentations.
  • Physical ability to travel and meet with customers as necessary.
  • Ability to learn and use company and customer project management systems.
