About the job

The Site Manager has end responsibility for the management of all site operations including HSE, daily production and order fulfillment, plant and facility maintenance, manufacturing cost management, site employee relations and all workforce related issues including regulation compliance, local Government Issue coordination. Develops operational action plans and implements controls which assure targets are met and business opportunities are identified, assessed, and implemented within the framework of the global strategy of the business. This role is also responsible for overseeing the interactions with the hourly collective bargaining unit.

In your future role as Site Manager, you will

Key Accountability

  • Site Health, Safety, and Environmental Performance
  • Site manufacturing performance including but not limited to the following:
  • Fixed Manufacturing Cost (FMC) performance
  • Variable Manufacturing Cost (VMC) performance
  • OEE
  • Production Schedule Adherence
  • Develops a culture of productivity using Nouryon Leading Performance System.
  • Establish and maintain an organizational culture based on Nouryon values.
  • Lead the organizations development as a role model, provides an environment of high employee satisfaction and engagement.
  • Integrate manufacturing efforts with marketing and business development to maximize the growth potential of the site
  • Oversee economic and new business venture studies; direct, design and implement major construction and startup of new facilities.
  • Prepare site budgets and capital expenditure forecasts; approve expenditures within specified limits, and initiate appropriation requests.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships outside the site with community and government officials, regulatory agencies, suppliers, customers, neighboring industries.
  • Promote the ideologies of total quality management
  • Responsible for mentoring and leading the talent and career development of key employees.
  • Other duties and tasks as directed by the Regional Manufacturing Director

  • Improvement of maintenance and asset strategy processes
  • Allocation of resources to meet business objectives
  • Travel as required to be effective in accomplishing objectives

We believe you bring

Education

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering or similar discipline

Experience

  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing environment (Engineering background).
  • Solid operations background with maintenance, engineering, and site management experience.
  • Strong managerial, communication, and interpersonal. Being able to work in a multi-disciplinary environment Multi-cultural skills Strategic thinking Strong leadership qualifications

This is a permanent position on a full-time basis, reporting to the Regional Manufacturing Director- Americas and based in Chattanooga, TN.
