Are you ready to take your safety and health experience to a whole new level? This full-time Field Health & Safety Professional job will provide you with the opportunity to work with a multi-discipline team in Boise, Idaho developing and implementing safety programs for the Jacobs team onsite. You will be interfacing with the client, the field team and the office team so adapting to each situation will be necessary.   Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Develop and update site safety plans; implement and monitor industrial safety programs to ensure personnel and facility safety.Conduct audits/reviews, document findings, identify corrective actions, and assist with closing findings.Identify, document and recommend resolution of hazardous/potentially hazardous conditions and follow through to ensure corrections have been made.Investigate personal injury and property damage accidents; compile data, photographs, etc. and prepare all pertinent forms and reports per program procedures and federal, state, local regulations; conduct root cause analysisOversee client safety permitting process; attend client safety meetings as company representativeReview and understand contractual obligations regarding health and safety; manage the site and interface with third parties in a manner consistent with our contractual agreementsOutgoing, well-spoken, organized and self-motivated individualAble to communicate and interact with the customer, the field personnel and the teamConduct industrial hygiene sampling (utilizing direct reading instruments) to ensure safe working conditionsAttend/assist with morning toolboxes; ensure pre-task planning is appropriateTrain and track employees on a wide variety of corporate, client, and legal requirements in health, safety, and the environment.Review plans and drawings to recognize potential safety issuesSpend over 50% of time in field at point of riskActively support the BeyondZero Culture of Caring through training and local initiatives as well as BZO observationsAssist with site emergency planning and evacuation procedures; ensure team is trained and participates in site drills
Here's what you'll need
Completed Bachelor’s degree in industrial hygiene, safety or related field and 2-5 years of progressive HSE experienceValid driver's license and the ability to be insured by JacobsKnowledge of state/federal safety, health and environmental requirements and a clear understanding of industrial hygiene practices/proceduresAbility to manage competing demands; accept, and act upon criticism and constructive feedback; be extremely adaptable and flexibleOutstanding time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environmentSkilled/Effective communication skills, both orally and in writingOutstanding customer service backgroundPreferredStrong preference will be given to graduates of applicable ABET accredited programs.Extensive experience working with Office Suite programs (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook) and HSE database/reporting/training systemsKnowledge of appropriate procedures for handling sensitive and confidential medical informationCurrent OHST (or higher) certificationDemonstrated experience conducting injury case managementBackground in high-tech or oil/gas industryOur health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
