Silicon Validation Engineer 2

Our client, a leading technology organization specializing in silicon chip development and validation, is seeking a Silicon Validation Engineer 2 to join their team. As a Silicon Validation Engineer 2, you will be part of the Hardware Engineering and R&D department supporting silicon chip development for Azure cloud services and AI workloads. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and collaborative spirit, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Redmond, WA

Pay Range: $59.35 to $63.94 per hour

What's the Job?
  • Develop C and C++ based test content, low-level drivers, and custom firmware at the subsystem and SoC levels.
  • Support the development and maintenance of FPGA prototyping platforms, including creating board images and custom RTL designs.
  • Debug FPGA and post-silicon issues using tools such as JTAG debuggers, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and multimeters.
  • Drive post-silicon bring-up and validation in the lab, ensuring timely completion of validation suites on silicon chips.
  • Collaborate across architecture, design, firmware, and validation teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware issues.
What's Needed?
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in silicon validation, FPGA/emulation platform bring-up, and hardware debugging.
  • Hands-on experience with SoC verification, embedded software development, and industry-standard protocols such as JTAG, SPI, I2C/I3C, and USB.
  • Proficiency in C, C++, Python scripting, and SystemVerilog-based verification environments.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
