Project Kuiper Signal/Power Integrity EngineerProject Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.Come solve the difficult and rewarding electrical engineering challenges in developing a highly reliable, power efficient, performant, low cost satellite bus and payload.Key job responsibilitiesAs a Signal/Power Integrity Engineer, you will be responsible for defining and developing Signal and Power Integrity test methodologies, participating in design reviews, performing measurements and simulations, providing reports, collaborating with other engineers to develop solutions, and working to ensure a high technical bar across Kuiper.Export Control Requirement:Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.A day in the lifeEngineers on the Signal/Power Integrity (SI/PI) team work across the entire Kuiper satellite and customer terminal systems, providing design inputs, developing requirements, establishing best practices, performing signal/power integrity system analysis, and working with multidisciplinary teams to make design improvements.About the teamThe SI/PI team interacts broadly across the entire Kuiper project to deliver electrical designs.

Along the way, we guarantee that you will learn a lot, have fun and make a positive impact on millions of people.Basic qualificationsBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.3+ years of experience in hardware development3+ years of hands on experience in simulations and lab validation for Signal/Power IntegrityExperience using simulation tools such as ANSYS, CST, Hspice, ADS, Hyperlynx, etc.Experience using VNAs, oscilloscopes and probing techniques.Experience participating in design reviews.Preferred qualificationsMaster's or PhD Degrees in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experienceExperience in system implementation and validation for various industry standards such as Ethernet, OIF, JEDEC, PCIe etc.Demonstrated design innovation in complex board designSolid understanding of electromagnetic & transmission line theorySolid understanding of numerical methods such as FEM, MoM, FDTD etc.Experience with schematic and layout ECAD tools - Mentor Xpedition preferredAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $93,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market.
