NSA's Linguists, known as Multidisciplined Language Analysts (MDLAs), support the SIGINT mission by translating, transcribing, and analyzing foreign language materials for policymakers and the Intelligence Community.
MDLAs may participate in the Language Analysis Development Program (LADP) or be hired directly into analytic offices. A minimum ILR level of 2/2 in reading and listening, plus relevant experience, is required.
