This role assists in leading assigned personnel while promoting a safe, clean, and well-organized workplace to maximize production efficiency and minimize safety risks.Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Duties include but are not limited to:Ensure standards of quality, equipment condition, and operator performance are maintained to achieve maximum productionIdentify and report hazards that create driving or pedestrian safety risksEnsure commodities are properly sorted and contamination is minimizedReview production, quality control, maintenance reports, and machine statistics to plan work activitiesInspect shredder parts for defects, breakage, or excessive wear and report issues to maintenanceMaintain awareness of pedestrians and vehicle traffic; use horn and signals as requiredMaintain and pass operator certification tests bi-annuallyTeam-lift items over 50 lbs when requiredEnsure all required personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn and used correctlyNotify EH&S of safety concerns, violations, PPE defects, or equipment replacement needsTrain and oversee assigned team members on job duties and safety proceduresSupport maximum inventory accuracy and production efficiency goalsAssist in achieving optimal labor utilization and minimizing overhead and material costsCoordinate work schedules based on operational demandsEnsure department operations meet customer needsMonitor operating costs and preservation of fixed assetsCommunicate policy and program changes to personnelInform management of labor-related issues including safety, scheduling, training, and employee relationsReview and approve timecards for assigned personnelAssist with end-of-month inventory countsEnsure compliance-based checklists are completed and issues reportedMaintain housekeeping standards for safety and cleanlinessReport efficiency and continuous improvement ideas to leadershipAdhere to all safety, compliance, and certification standardsPosition Requirements: RequirementsMinimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED preferred 2–4 years of relevant work experience preferred 1–2 years of supervisory experience preferredRequired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds safely Ability to bend, stoop, walk, reach overhead, push/pull, squat, twist, and turn without injury Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Professional demeanor with a positive attitudePhysical Requirements & Working Conditions: Must pass a pre-employment drug screening Warehouse environment Exposure to dust, noise, equipment, and machinery Constant sitting Occasional repetitive hand use Occasional bending, grasping, pushing/pulling, reaching, and liftingLocation: Assemblix StaffingThis position is currently accepting applications.
