About Litsaber
We make an interactive LED 510 battery called the "Litsaber" which was built for festivals, nightlife, and the moments worth showing off. It's an accessory that happens to work with your cart. 41 LEDs, 12 colors, three modes, built for dark rooms and crowds.
Most 510 batteries are designed to disappear in your hand and be discrete. Ours is designed to get passed around and experienced socially. It lives in the same world as LED gloves and glow gear, the stuff people wear and carry because it says something about them.
Our crowd is anyone who dresses for the night. Ravers and festival-goers are the core, but there's real pull from the cosplay and convention world too. Both groups want something that looks good in a dark room and gets a reaction. Content should play to that with the glow, the reveal, the moment someone else asks what it is.
Pull it out, the table turns around, someone asks what it is, and you hand it over. That moment is the entire business.
Why this role, now
We need traffic. That's the whole problem for us. We have a product people react to in person, a store that works, and almost nobody arriving at it.
We think short-form video is the way in, and we need it running before the holidays. We've had signal already where we did man-on-the-street interviews and it captured real first reactions which performed well for us. What we haven't had is consistency, or anyone pushing past that one format.
We need someone to run it regularly, test new formats, hooks, and angles alongside it, and find what gets people talking and clicking through to the site.
Paid is open if you can make it work. We're in a cannabis-adjacent category, so Meta, Google, and Amazon are difficult but not automatically off the table. If you've run paid in a restricted category and have a compliant approach, we want to hear it. If not, organic and creator-led is the path.
You won't be guessing at results. We run PostHog and have attribution wired through the site and our affiliate program, so you'll be able to see which content is actually driving sessions and sales, not just views.
What you'd own
- Content creation and sourcing - 3-5 short-form videos per week, and you own where the footage comes from: shooting it yourself, directing creators and affiliates, or pulling and editing UGC from customers. We'll supply product, product shots, and access to our customer and affiliate lists but the pipeline is yours to build.
- Publishing and engagement - TikTok and Instagram, on a consistent cadence. Comments and DMs included.
If you have creator and affiliate relationships, there's room to put them to work. Our affiliate program is built and ready and it needs people in it.
How we'd measure it
- Videos published per week
- Reach and engagement growth across both channels
- Sessions to the site from content
Thirty-day checkpoint on output. We won't judge you on sales at thirty days, because that's not when sales move.
What we're looking for
- A portfolio of short-form you personally shot or edited, with numbers attached
- Real fluency in what works on TikTok and IG right now
- A growth mindset, not just a creative one. You think in tests, experiments and watch what the numbers say, and double down on what's working rather than what's prettiest
- You come up with the ideas and execute them end to end: concept, shoot, edit
- Ability to source and create content beyond your own camera including directing creators, working with UGC, or building a footage pipeline from scratch
- Experience growing a physical product people buy because of how it looks: festival gear, LED, gadgets, streetwear, novelty. Cannabis experience not required.
- Self-directed, autonomous and proactive. We'll give you direction and product but we can't give you daily management.
- Remote role, California-based required, SoCal preferred. That’s where the events and our audience are, so it’s where we want content shot, and it lets us meet in person when needed.
How we work
- 15-20 hrs/week to start, 3 months initially. If it's working, there's room to grow the hours and the budget.
- Calls on weekends or weekday evenings. We're typically unavailable 8am-5pm PT
- Weekly written update: what shipped, what's next, what's blocked
- Task tracking in a shared board so progress is visible without us asking
- One decision thread per week with a default action, so we're never your blocker
- Use whatever gets results. AI tools, UGC, your own camera, whatever works. We care about what lands and whether it protects the brand, not how you made it.
How To Apply
Send three short-form videos you made that performed, with view counts and one line on why each worked. At least one should be for a physical product. Include your rate and your availability over the next three months.
