Heavy Equipment MechanicMoody Excavating, LLC is currently seeking applications to fill an open position for heavy equipment master level III mechanic. All positions with Moody Excavating, LLC require the ability to work overtime as needed and properly follow company policies and OSHA safety standards for a safe working environment.Job Duties:Inspect, diagnose, and repair equipment including off road trucks, excavators, dozers & rollersInspect, service, and adjust fluid levels, hoses, belts, brakes, tires, and clutchesHandle the diagnosis and repair of complex electrical and electronic systems within diesel engines, including sensors, wiring, and control modulesMaintain accurate records of each repair performedAbility to recognize mechanical, hydraulic, and formulate possible solutionsInspect, repair, and maintain fuel injection systems, pumps, and injectors to optimize engine performanceUtilize advanced computerized tools and software for detailed diagnostics and troubleshooting of performance and emissions control systemsUse maintenance pro software on assigned equipment in the field and at corporate officesQualifications:A thorough understanding of diesel engines and heavy construction equipmentKnowledgeable of both on road and off-road heavy machineryMust be able to pass an annual motor vehicle records (MVR) inquiryMust be able to use mechanics software to evaluate & close out work orders on assigned equipmentThis job has no supervisory duties3+ years as diesel technician with previous work experienceSkilled in using Volvo Powertrain (PTT), Detroit software, and other advanced diagnostic toolsProficient in interpreting and troubleshooting pneumatic and wiring diagramsCompany Benefits:Competitive pay based on experienceJob advancement and pay increases based on work history and proficiency of job dutiesMedical, dental, vision, life insurance after 90 daysCompany pays percentage of insurance cost based on position and employment history (60% contribution after 90 days, 80% contribution after 1 year)Paid holidays specified by company policies1 week accrued personal leave time after 90 days of employment1 week accrued vacation after 1 year of employmentMatching 401k retirement plan at 1 year of employmentRutherford County only/no travelApplicants must have reliable transportation and a driver license.
