Shop Manager

Compensation: $95,000 - $104,000 annual + bonus

Prestige Motorsports is a nationally recognized performance, engine‑building, and classic restoration shop based in Concord, NC. We design, machine, assemble, dyno‑test, and install every engine in‑house—Chevy, Ford, Mopar, marine, and more. Our team delivers full restorations, custom builds, performance upgrades, and marine repowers with documented proof of performance.

The Role

We’re hiring a Performance & Restoration Shop Manager to run daily operations inside our high‑performance and classic build facility. You’ll oversee workflow, technicians, scheduling, customer communication, vendor coordination, and quality control—ensuring every build is delivered on time, on budget, and at Prestige‑level standards.

This role blends operational leadership with hands‑on automotive expertise .

Work Schedule

• Monday–Thursday
• Early start
• Onsite whenever technicians are working
• Occasional Fridays as needed for overtime or project demands

What You’ll Lead

• Daily shop operations, workflow, and production priorities
• Project schedules, timelines, and milestone tracking
• Technician leadership, assignments, and performance management
• Customer updates, change orders, and expectation management
• Vendor coordination, parts sourcing, and inventory accuracy
• Quality control, inspections, and documentation
• Job costing, labor tracking, and operational consistency

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years in restoration, performance automotive, fabrication, or similar
• Proven leadership managing technicians and multi‑phase builds
• Strong understanding of classic vehicles and high‑performance systems
• Experience with estimating, project management, and vendor coordination
• Highly organized, detail‑driven, and operationally disciplined
• Proficiency with shop management software + Microsoft/Google tools

You bring a blend of leadership experience and hands‑on automotive credibility . You understand build quality, shop flow, and technician performance. You can communicate clearly with customers, keep projects moving, and maintain high standards across every phase of a build.

Required for Consideration: Visual Proof of Work

Applicants must provide visual evidence of prior projects (Instagram, portfolio link, photo gallery, project list). These materials are used during screening so hiring managers can evaluate craftsmanship and real‑world experience.
