This position will work out of our Riverside, Missouri Facility.As a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator, you will play a mission-critical role in the daily operations of our business! You will be responsible for warehouse duties, including shipping and receiving, inventory organization, and warehouse organization as needed. You'll work collaboratively with all departments and external shipping vendors to ensure deadlines are met and the highest quality standards are maintained.Key responsibilities include:Receive, unpack, verify, and record all inbound shipmentsPack, address, and document all outbound shipmentsAssist customers by loading and unloading equipment needing to be servicedCoordinate all shipments with appropriate shipping vendorsMaintain relationships with shipping vendors and driversInventory cycle countingInventory organization and shelving labelingInventory stockingAssists in general labor to maintain the organization and efficiency of the warehouseContinuous improvement of delivery, quality, efficiency, and safety of the teamSkills and qualifications required:Positive, can-do attitudeOrganized with great attention to detailPrevious experience in shipping and receiving or warehouse coordinationSolid basic computer knowledgeQuick learner when facing new problems: a relentless desire to learn, open to change, strives for continuous improvement of self and processesSolid communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey information and ideasResponds with a sense of urgency and thrives in a fast-paced work environmentAbility to handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyAbility to work with varying prioritiesWorks well independently or with a teamCustomer-first attitudeAbility to physically lift heavy items up to 70 lbsValid driver's license and clean driving recordAbility to drive a forklift or within 30 days of hire requirement – training will be providedWhy work with us?At Cogent, you're not just an employee—you're an owner.
