Shipping Material Handler 2nd Shift

Our client, a leading logistics and distribution organization, is seeking a Shipping Material Handler to join their team. As a Shipping Material Handler, you will be part of the Sikeston Division supporting the Shipping Department. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Shipping Material Handler

Location: Sikeston, MO

Pay Range: $20/hour

Shift: 2nd

What's the Job?

• Support the distribution center by efficiently sorting, scanning, staging, and wrapping merchandise.

• Check merchandise and ensure products are loaded and checked in according to the delivery sequence by customer stop code.

• Operate power equipment such as pallet riders, forklifts, utility vehicles, and hand pallet jacks safely and effectively.

• Read and interpret truck loading forecast summaries to set up truck runs accurately.

• Stack pallets properly to prevent customer service issues and secure products for transport.

What's Needed?

• Certification to operate power equipment including pallet riders, forklifts, utility vehicles, and hand pallet jacks.

• Ability to read and understand truck loading forecast summaries.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Effective communication skills to coordinate with supervisors and transportation teams.

• Commitment to safety policies and practices, with willingness to work overtime when needed.
