Drive Precision and Purpose as a Shipping & Receiving Specialist in Innovative Medicines
Location: Carlsbad, CA (Onsite) | Pay: $20.90–$26.56/hr | Shift: 7 AM to 7 PM Pacific Time from Wednesday to Saturday alternative 9 AM to 9PM) (Periodic mandatory overtime may be necessary to ensure process continuity and completion)
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a global leader in the innovative medicines industry to hire a detail-driven Shipping and Receiving Specialist for its San Diego RLT warehouse facility. As a Shipping and Receiving Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining GMP-compliant records and ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of materials and finished goods. Your work will directly support the safe and timely distribution of innovative medicines, ensuring products reach patients without delay while meeting the highest quality and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Shipping, Receiving & Inventory Control
Maintain accurate GMP records for all materials and products received, stocked, and shipped
Perform timely and accurate data entry for GxP documentation and ERP transactions
Coordinate shipping, receiving, storage, and material processing activities
Conduct periodic inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies
Stage materials for production in accordance with site procedures
Load and unload trucks using industrial equipment and transfer materials to appropriate storage areas
Lift and move materials up to 40 pounds as required
Quality & Compliance
Inspect and verify materials, labels, and documentation for accuracy and completeness
Provide correct finished goods to couriers with proper labeling within scheduled timeframes
Operate applicable radiation detection equipment
Complete required job‑specific training including cGMP, HS&E, and Dangerous Goods
Perform all duties with strict adherence to safety, quality, and site policies
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
Participate in cross-functional projects and site initiatives
Support the development of Standard Operating Procedures, Scopes of Work, and training documentation
Demonstrate professionalism and alignment with site values and behaviors
Deliver excellent customer service with a proactive, can‑do attitude
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 1 year of experience in distribution, warehousing, or manufacturing within a regulated industry
Strong computer skills, including MS Office
Experience with procurement and inventory management systems and procedures
Excellent communication skills
Ability to perform duties with the highest regard for safety, quality, and compliance standards
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s or undergraduate degree in business, science, or related field
Hazardous shipping training
Experience supporting GMP-regulated warehouse operations

Pay Details: $20.90 to $26.56 per hour
