This role at Egg Central Station (ECS) is critical in bridging the gap from local family farms to grocery stores for our consumers. You'll be on your feet during each twelve-hour shift, moving, lifting, loading and working with air-conditioned and sunlight-filled warehouse.2-2-3 schedule: 2-week cycleWeek 1: 2 days on / 2 days off / 3 days onWeek 2: 2 days off / 2 days on / 3 days offShifts: 12-hour shiftsDay Crew – 7am to 7pmNight Crew - 7pm to 7amPay Rate:Day Crew- $20.25 per hourNight Crew - $20.25 per hour (+ $3.00 Shift Differential)What You'll Do:You will be receiving various orders, including eggs, paper goods, and materials using electric pallet jacks, forklifts, and scanners for efficiencyFocusing on customer satisfaction, you will be loading trucks to ship orders to distribution centers and/or grocery retailersTo ensure that our standard of quality is being met, you will be organizing our finished goods area to accommodate the FIFO method of goodsSuccessfully use DSI scanning system to monitor movement of finished goodsCreating an excellent customer experience for our drivers will be your priorityBuild pallets as needed for ordersSome of your time will be spent reading and understanding bill of ladings and sales orders to ensure efficient product movementWhat You Bring to the Table:1 year of shipping and receiving experienceCertified to operate a forklift or pallet jackStrong attention to detail and ability to follow specific instructionsBasic math skillsMust be able to speak, read and write in English for safety reasonsAble to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch for extended periods of timeGood manual dexterity working with hands to reach, handle, or feel objects, tools or controlsAble to frequently lift and / or move up to 60 pounds.Able to work safely in an environment when exposed to wet conditionsFollow all personal safety and food safety requirements rigorouslyEnsure work area is clean and free of any hazardsOther duties as requiredYou're no hero – You know the power of teamwork and celebrate the work of others before your own.You give a sh*t – You believe in acting like an owner and making Vital Farms a place to be proud of.You raise the standards – You know growth can be hard, but you strive to improve yourself and others each day.You can walk in someone else's boots – You seek to understand other's viewpoints and think that you get to better answers by sitting on the same side of the table.You don't walk on eggshells – You're not afraid to leave the bullsh*t behind and have honest conversations.We recognize that talent comes in many forms.
