JOB SUMMARY:

The Shift Lead plays a vital and supporting role in creating an environment where the values, culture, and operating standards of The Flame Broiler, Inc. can thrive. Under the supervision of the General Manager and the Assistant General Manager, the Shift Lead effectively communicates the vision of The Flame Broiler, Inc. brand and its systems, through the execution of operational procedures. The Shift Lead upholds and keeps The Flame Broiler, Inc. brand at the forefront of all operations. He/she will personify the values, culture, and the heart of Flame Broiler. The Shift Lead understands that the values are at the core of every leadership role.

Competencies of the Successful Shift Lead:

• Works with the Assistant General Manager and the General Manager in achievingcompanysales/revenue goals and operates shifts to ensure goals are reached.
• Monitorsstore revenueduring assigned shifts and reports sales to supervisors and home office support team when necessary.
• Ability to execute Flame BroilerShift Management 9 Touch Point module, within the Shift Lead areas of responsibility.
• Assists with ensuring the restaurant meetsthe standards ofall areas of the 4 Pillars of Successoperational evaluation.
• Receives and organizes bi-weekly inventory. Ensures received product is accurate and in acceptable condition.
• Ensures cash handling procedures are properly performed during assigned shift.
• Responsible for thesafety andsecurity ofrestaurantfacility during assigned shifts.
• Achieved satisfactory certification in and demonstrated ability to perform all positions within the restaurant (i.e., cashier, prep, cook).
• Communicates sales initiativesand promotions during assigned shifts. Monitors the progress and success ofinitiatives during assigned shifts.
• Communicates necessary repairs of equipment, damages and items in need of replacement to supervisor and/or corporate support team.
• Monitors stores wastes during assigned shifts.
• Assists with troubleshooting problems and helps with solvingoperational inefficiencies in a timely manner.
• Ensures team members are following company policiesand performance standards during assigned shifts.
• Communicates changes or occurrences during shift to incoming manager or next day reports. (i.e., employee call outs, issues, success, goals, revenue goals, employee performance standards, etc.)
• Executes shifthandovercommunication to Senior Team Lead and/or Assistant Team Lead when necessary.

QualificationsChemistry of the Successful Shift Lead:

• Provides shift leadership, oversees procedures, assigns tasks,and monitors job performance for all supervised team members during assigned shifts.
• Evaluates and provides feedback on the performance of supervised team members.
• Holds team members accountable for performing job roles and tasks during assigned shifts.
• Successfully completes the companyapproved Train-The-Trainer certification course.
• Responsible for delivering training to team members as directed.
• Supports the ATL and STL with certifying thetraining and job competency of newlyhiredand/or promoted team members.
• Follows up with trainees during training shifts and monitors progress oftraining.
• Assists with ensuring that teammembers are accountable forknowing and understandingcompany standards and policies.
• Upholds and assists with the enforcement of company standards and policiesthrough effective leadership.
• Follows companyguidelines concerningrecommendationsofteam members forpromotions.
• Ability to coachsupervisedteam members for performance improvement.
• Possesses the ability and skills to resolve conflicts patiently and professionally.
• Quickly handles and resolves guest complaints when necessary during assigned shift.
• Assists with documenting employee attendanceand punctualityrecords.
• Ensures cash handling procedures are adhered to and enforced during shift.
• Communicates and ensures restaurant team members abide by and adheres to company injury illnessprevention safety program.
