The SharePoint Records Management System Administrator ensures compliance with records retention policies, information governance standards, and regulatory requirements while maintaining system reliability, security, and usability.ResponsibilitiesWork closely with IT, DOE records management, and stakeholders to support enterprise content and records management initiatives.Administer and maintain SharePoint Records Management systems, ensuring availability, performance, and complianceConfigure and manage records libraries, content types, metadata, retention schedules, and disposition workflowsImplement and enforce records retention and disposition policies in accordance with NARA requirementsSupport information governance and compliance initiatives, including audits and legal holdsManage permissions, access controls, and security groups to ensure appropriate data accessAssist with migration of records and content from legacy systems into SharePoint as neededDevelop and maintain documentation, standard operating procedures, and user guidesProvide technical support and training to end users and records management staffSupport integration with related systems such as Microsoft 365, Power Automate, PowerShell scripts, and third-party records toolsRequirementsUS Citizenship is requiredA minimum of 5 years of related professional experienceProven experience administering SharePoint Records Management or Enterprise Content Management (ECM) systemsStrong knowledge of SharePoint architecture, records centers, and information management policiesExperience with records retention schedules, metadata modeling, and taxonomy designHands-on experience managing permissions, security, and compliance featuresFamiliarity with Microsoft 365 tools, including SharePoint Online and Power AutomateUnderstanding of records management principles, legal holds, and audit requirementsAbility to troubleshoot complex SharePoint and records-related issuesStrong communication and stakeholder collaboration skillsKnowledge of NARA standards strongly preferredEducation: Bachelor's DegreeCompensation: Includes paid holidays, vacation, sick leave, 401k matching, life insurance, health, and dental benefits.This position is not available for Corp-to-Corp or 3rd party sourcing.We are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
